            Son yıllarda bir çok konuya ortak olan bir zihinsel mekanizma ve süreç olarak görmeye başladığımız  "Zihinsel Haritalar" kavramı üzerinde olacağız. Bu konunun bu kadar çok popüler olmasının nedeni  bir çok mit düşüncenin,felsefi algı ve  yaklaşımların yerini somut kanıtlara bırakmaya başlaması olarak ele alabiliriz.  Zihinsel haritanın ne olduğuna gelirsek "zihin" ve "harita" kavramlarının  mükemmel bileşkesi olarak izah edilebilir. Beynimizin ne kadar kapasite ile çalıştığına dair bir çok mit ve bazı araştırmalar mevcuttur.(Williams Woolley ve ark. 2007).
