Stem cell-gene therapy shows promise in ALS safety trial

Investigators have developed an investigational therapy using support cells and a protective protein that can be delivered past the blood-brain barrier. This combined stem cell and gene therapy can potentially protect diseased motor neurons in the spinal cord of patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, a fatal neurological disorder known as ALS or Lou Gehrig's disease.

PSİKOLOJİDE PROBLEME ODAKLANMAK VE DÖNGÜ

       Psikolojide araştırma sürecinin en temel taşı "problem" olarak görülmektedir. Bir araştırmaya başlamak için önce sizi düşündüren, yoran, endişelendiren bir probleminiz olmalıdır. Endişeli ve yorma kelimelerini  bir probleme yoğunlaşma anlamında ifade ediyorum. Bu durum sizi korkutmamalıdır.        Problemin  tez-antitez-sentez paradigmasını maddeler ile daha belirgin hale getirelim. Psikoloji bir sosyal bilim olduğu için bu doğrultuda açıklama yapacağım. İlk olarak; "Bilimsel problemin tespit edilmesi" olarak yola çıkalım. Belli bir problemimiz var ve bu problemin  nasıl bir doğaya sahip olduğunu bilmemiz için ikinci bir yola ihtiyacımız var : "Gözlem" . Gözlemlediğimiz problem hakkında veri yani bilgi topluluğunu bir araya getirmeliyiz. Bu aşama da üçüncü aşamamız olmaktadır. Elimizde problemin doğası hakkında ciddi bir bilgi mevcut. Bu bilgiler doğrultusunda artık belli bir neden-sonuç ilişkisini tetikleyecek varsayımlarda bulunabiliriz
