Not unique to humans but uniquely human: researchers identify factor involved in brain expansion in humans

What makes us human? According to neurobiologists it is our neocortex. This outer layer of the brain is rich in neurons and lets us do abstract thinking, create art, and speak complex languages. An international team has identified a new factor that might have contributed to neocortex expansion in humans.

PSİKOLOJİDE PROBLEME ODAKLANMAK VE DÖNGÜ

       Psikolojide araştırma sürecinin en temel taşı "problem" olarak görülmektedir. Bir araştırmaya başlamak için önce sizi düşündüren, yoran, endişelendiren bir probleminiz olmalıdır. Endişeli ve yorma kelimelerini  bir probleme yoğunlaşma anlamında ifade ediyorum. Bu durum sizi korkutmamalıdır.        Problemin  tez-antitez-sentez paradigmasını maddeler ile daha belirgin hale getirelim. Psikoloji bir sosyal bilim olduğu için bu doğrultuda açıklama yapacağım. İlk olarak; "Bilimsel problemin tespit edilmesi" olarak yola çıkalım. Belli bir problemimiz var ve bu problemin  nasıl bir doğaya sahip olduğunu bilmemiz için ikinci bir yola ihtiyacımız var : "Gözlem" . Gözlemlediğimiz problem hakkında veri yani bilgi topluluğunu bir araya getirmeliyiz. Bu aşama da üçüncü aşamamız olmaktadır. Elimizde problemin doğası hakkında ciddi bir bilgi mevcut. Bu bilgiler doğrultusunda artık belli bir neden-sonuç ilişkisini tetikleyecek varsayımlarda bulunabiliriz
